This collection includes high-end sweet dessert wines. DardeFox's major competitor is The Royal Tokaji Wine Company. However, its limited capacity and inability to meet demand gives DardeFox the opportunity to capture a portion of this market. The other limited competition, which focuses their efforts on Europe, is Oremus, Disznoko, Hetszolo, Kiralyudvar, Dobogo, Szepsy, and Monarchia Matt. Indirect competitors to our Luxury Reserve wines are other dessert wines such as Sauterne, Late Harvest Wines, Ice Wines as well as fortified wines such as Port, Sherry, and Madeira.

Aszu 5 puttonyos from Tokaji, HUNGARY
This is pure nectar, with apricot, honey and spice flavors and a harmonious structure offsetting the high level of sweetness with vibrant acidity. It picks up delicate earth and mineral tones on the finish.

Aszu 6 puttonyos from Tokaji, HUNGARY
Fiery orange and volcanic fury enhances the spice supported by powerful passionate acidity. This wine displays a truly amazing counterpoint of delicacy and fine acidity with creaminess and viscosity. The ultimate complexity and the gravity-defying balance and endlessly billowing finish are almost astonishing. Spitting demands considerable willpower. Aszu 6...truly remarkable!

Aszu Eszencia from Tokaji, HUNGARY
This is the finest dessert wine in the entire world. Fresh, sweet, luscious with superb balancing acidity, this wine is the paragon of modern Tokaji. Absolutely brilliant structure and complexity. Dried apricot with hints of caramel, it is excellent to savor with vanilla ice cream. It is believed that this extremely scarce Tokaji wine contains astonishing medicinal properties that prolong life! Because its sugar content and sugar free extract surpass even the rare 6 Puttonyos Aszu, it is off the charts and cannot even be measured in puttonyos. The Aszu Eszencia is aged for a minimum of 5 years in old Hungarian oak barrels before bottling in which it will mature for many more years.

This collection includes Sheep's Tail, White Mud, Sweet Szamorodni, and Syrah. It is DardeFox's understanding that there are two or three other producers of White Mud and Sheep's Tail in Hungary. Production and distribution is limited to Hungary, and therefore, DardeFox is one of the only importers of the White Mud and Sheep's Tail varieties to the United States.

There are three minor direct competitors to Sweet Szamorodni in the United States. It is the company's understanding that the number of cases imported into the United States in the last five years is less than 500. Therefore, there is limited competition, if any at all, to this wine.

Dardefox's classic Syrah competes with the major California wineries within the $14.99 to $19.99 price point. There is much competition for this wine. However, these varietals are exceptional because they come from one of the best winegrowing regions for Syrah in the world.

Sweet Szamorodni from Tokaji, HUNGARY
The Sweet Szamorodni's bouquet is reminiscent of vanilla, almonds, and fresh raisins. When you first drink it, it has a full, fresh taste, following sweetness. It has a superb harmony of acid and sugar, and your favorable impressions are further enhanced when you discover a long-lingering taste of orange, with a smell of lilac and lily.

Sheep's Tail from HUNGARY
Silvery pale straw color. Aromas of bubble gum, white pepper, and pear. In the mouth, the wine is laden with strange citrus, honey, and musk melon and almond cream. Slight hazelnut notes on the finish.

White Mud from HUNGARY
Rare varietal exhibiting extraordinary complexity and concentration. The nose features honeysuckle, candied walnut, fresh apple, Anjou pear and Fuji apple, smoked almond, white peach, caramel, lemon zest and mineral perk the palate; the slinky body finishes with bracing acidity accented by mace, basil, toasted sesame, white pepper and ash.

 Syrah
Dark, bright ruby-red. Distinctly rustic, musky nose. Musky and meaty on the palate, with intriguing notes of minerals and smoke. Not a fruity style but offers a captivating lightness of touch. Finishes juicy and persistent.

Wines in the company's floral collection include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc. These wines compete within the $9.99 to $12.99 price point, and the main competitors are the hundreds of wineries in the New World, such as California, Australia and South America. In addition, our Old World competitors include dozens of wineries in France, Italy and Spain that export their wines to the United States.

Even though the wine industry is competitive, there are only a few strong brands in the marketplace including Robert Mondavi, Kendall-Jackson, Gallo and Yellow Tail. The others are mostly boutique wineries with production being less than 50,000 cases per year. These wineries place themselves at a disadvantage because 1) they do not have enough product volume to support a major distributor and 2) they do not have a strong enough brand with clearly defined positioning to support brand extensions. DardeFox's brands may be at a disadvantage being the "new kid on the block"; however the company will use its funds to develop a strong, clearly defined position for all its brands, and DardeFox has enough production capacity to fill the distribution channels with product. Thereby, the company instantly becomes desirable to distributors and retailers.

Sauvignon Blanc
Lively, fragrant and surprisingly ripe in flavor, balancing its tart structure with generous guava, grapefruit and nectarine aromas and flavors, which persist beautifully on the long, open-textured finish.

Merlot
The classical, tender plumminess of Merlot is at the core of this wine, a sweet fruit character balanced by more savory elements of black earth. It lightens toward raspberry as the tannins take on air, a juicy, mouthwatering wine with a tealeaf character that brings Cabernet Franc to mind. Velvety and refined!

Cabernet Sauvignon
The Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of smoke, black cherries, cassis, and earth. In the mouth, lavender, blueberry, and black cherry characteristics also emerge. It is an elegant, complex, youthful yet accessible red that should drink well for 10-12 years.

Pinot Grigio
Creamy and rich, this favorite Pinot Grigio offers nutty, full-bodied flavors, with a touch of herb influence amid the more pronounced ripe pear and sweet peach notes. Vanilla on the finish adds another dimension of richness. Enjoy with equally substantial seafood or chicken dishes.

Pinot Noir
On the tart side, with a core of intense black cherry and white pepper flavors that linger on the firm, generous finish.

Bull's Blood from Egri, HUNGARY
Egri Bikaver uses individual grapevine grades, separately picked, in order to produce this wine according to the 500-year-old recipe. This wine embodies a harmony of tannin, velvetiness, and delicacy, along with its characteristic aroma.
